OREO The Critical Cat

-Written by Sweets*

YAY!
I am so happy because this is the first picture I do using Photoshop.
Thanks to cheocheo that is helping me understand the program.
I must say he is being very patient with me, thank you so much cheocheo... SuPeR LoVe You <3

Anyhows :P
Yesterday our friend Rihnu リヌ was very surprised to finally find me in my room.
I had made a quick stop to feed my three pets when she walked in.
As we were talking, she so kindly put out some food for my pets, the good kind
that you buy with AG, but for some reason, OREO was not drinking the milk she had set out for her.
OREO kept staring at it with an expression of confusion. Feeling very embarrassed by her behavior
toward our kind guest, I tried to find a million excuses for why Oreo wasn't showing any interest in the gift.

"Oh, I think OREO is on a diet."
"She is probably in shock at getting such a fancy bowl of milk."
"She is saving it for a special occasion."

Well, I really didn't know what else to come up with to excuse OREO
or if our friend Rihnu リヌ believed any of the silly excuses I was coming up with.
In the end, OREO ended up licking the bowl clean :))) Silly cat!

Rihnu リヌ thank you so much for your visit and for my pets' food. <3

Oreo

Just look how beautiful our Oreo looks!

Remember our kitten from his first picture ? Love does miracles indeed, there is no doubt about it :) Oreo has definitely become an inspiration for all of us. He is a happy kitten always playing around and the only times I hear him complain (cry) is when he is hungry or dirty.

Oreo is moving around more, still on his side and usually in reverse... LOL, but every day he seems to be able to sit up for a longer time and will take a step or two before falling back on his side again. Nat (my daughter), Josh (my son) and I sit on the floor and we place Oreo in the middle and we take turns calling him to us. Oreo loooves playing with us and we feel this is a good way of therapy for him.

We still have to feed him and it requires around half an hour to do it. He has difficulty swallowing even liquids, so we have to  carefully and slowly feed him. He is a picky eater and doesn't like spinach but he loves his salmon food which I mix with his kitten formula to make it as liquidy as possible for him.

After he finishes eating, he is usually cover in food and milk, so we clean him with baby wipes which make him feel cold, so I tuck him in, wrapping him up in a baby blanket and softly caress his head and sing to him until he goes to sleep. His favorite song is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

We keep Oreo in a laundry basket since we are afraid that he may get hurt on the floor. Funny thing though is we have seen him jump really high, but fortunately he falls back on the soft baby blanket that we placed on his basket.

I went and bought him a whole bunch of baby blankets and stuff animals. He has to have a stuff animal with him at ALL times or else he'll cry. We only put one stuff toy at a time, but he loves all of them. Right now he has 11 stuffed friends (toys). It is funny to see him climb his toys and hug them. Most of the time he will get under the toy to go to sleep.

Now I spend many of my hours looking after Oreo and giving him love. I like taking him out in his basket and placing him next to me while I read. He loves looking at the trees and listening to the birds and cars as they pass by. He also enjoys looking at the children playing at the park across our house. However, if while we are at the park and I take him out from his basket, I have to keep him on me, he seems not to like to be placed on the grass or dirt.

Sadly my poor kitten, since he can't walk or stand up, requires to be cleaned after he has pee or pooped. He will softly cry to let us know he is dirty and will be very still while we clean him. I am very proud of my kids, they will clean him without any complaints. I can go and run errands without any worries, because I know they will take good care of him.

Just to give you an idea of how much we love our baby Oreo, I'll tell you that we had planned to travel this summer on a family vacation. This was before Oreo came into our lives and we were very excited. However having Oreo now has changed everything. Oreo is not in condition to travel and leaving him behind is not an option. We all agree that it was best to cancel our vacation and stay with Oreo. He is our little baby and he needs us now. :)

I'll keep posting for you on Oreo's life every week. Thank you for all your beautiful letters and for all your prayers. My family, Oreo and myself  SUPER LOVE YOU all <333

Oreo our Kitten

This Picture is when they brought OREO inside the house for me.

Meet my new baby... OREO! <333

Now, I am not talking about my cat OREO in Pico, but my new kitten.

Let me tell you the story of how I  become a new mommy again.

On Wednesday afternoon my son Josh happened to look out the window and noticed a momma cat with her two kittens on top of the roof of a small guest house we have in our backyard. Now, these are not our cats, as a matter of fact we did not have any pets... until  now ;)

Going back to my story... suddenly my son notices that one of the kittens fell from the roof and hits the ground hard. He goes out to check on the kitten and the momma cat is already next to him. My son comes in and tells his sister about the incident but decided to keep it from me since I had gone through alot in the last days and doesn't want to worry me and make me more sad.

However, they slip the following day and tell me what had happened. I tell them to go and see if the kitten is still there, and soon they returns saying yes and that it seems to be dying. At that point I feel like doing something, but what could I possibly do for this poor animal when I needed to be helped too. For some unexplainable reason I asked my family to bring the kitten in so I could see him and I proceeded to fix a carbord box with a blanket so they could carry him back in.

As soon as I saw this defenseless and seriously injured kitten, my tears come rolling down, it seemed as he had broken bones and couldn't stand up. Actually all he can do is toss and turn, he rolls because his fragile body is not responding properly. I felt I had to do something to make him better or stop his pain. I kept thinking, this poor baby has a strong will to survive, he is in alot of pain and still he survived the night alone outside.

I tell my kids to put him in my room, and that we would take it to a veterinarian to be treated the next day. This little kitten had stolen our hearts and we wanted to save him. We gathered and pray to God to help us save this little life. I promised my kids that I would do everything possible to help him and that if he would survive we would keep him.

Today, I took our little kitten to the veterinarian and when I was asked the name of our pet, Oreo came to mind. After carefully checking our baby, the vet said there were no broken bones, however he has suffered head trauma but he still might survive. The vet explained to me that our kitten can't stand and keeps tossing because he is very dizzy from hitting his head so hard. He was given a shot to bring down the inflammation on his head, but at that point that was all they could do for him.

I have Oreo in my room now and we are supposed to feed him and give him his milk very carefully. Actually we have to be holding his head up in order to feed him since he can't do that on his own. The vet suggested giving him lots of love and attention but that's really not a problem for us, especially for me :)

Now, we are supposed to monitor his condition 'til Monday, but if by then there is no improvement, Oreo will have to be put to sleep :(

I ask you that you please pray with us for Oreo, it is a little life that God created and we already love him. He has come into my life right when I am going through very painful and sad times and I see Oreo as a blessing.

I will keep you posted on Oreo's progress :)

My Sweet Pets :)

My birthday surprises don't seem to end :) I thought that was over and done by yesterday morning. But obviously my beautiful pets had something in store for me.

Yesterday when I logged into Pico and checked on my pets, ALL THREE had learned a new trick. That is surely the best birthday gift they could have given me =)

Let's start with my newest pet OREO. She now knows how to pick up her paw and touch my hand. It is a wonderful trick because now we can shake hand and paw to say hi to each other...LOL.

Now my silly dog Mr. Tickles learned how to DIG. You should see my garden now :(, there are holes EVERYWHERE!!!

The sweetest one of my three pets Picolly learned an AMAZING trick..."GET ON", which means I can actually stand on top of my dear turtle...isn't it wonderful!!!

Now I need to make sure I don't gain any more weight or next time I get on Picolly I'll turn her into a PANCAKE... LOL.

Thank you my beautiful pets for such wonderful birthday gifts =)

Meet Oreo

HOLD ON!!! No, No... this is not "OREO", this is mr. bibo, and why am I showing him to you? well, I have news for you my dear Pico Perfect fans.
Mr. bibo is not my friend, mr. bibo is my husband in REAL LIFE. We've been happily married for 15 years. I decided to bring into Pico the representation of my husband to accompany me in all my Pico adventures.

Now that the truth about mr. bibo is out... I can now introduce to you my new pet.

Meet OREO... my new beautiful black cat.

Thursday morning when my husband and I were having a conversation about Mr. Tickles and Picolly (my other two pets) and how different their personalities are, he surprised me by telling me he wanted to get me a new pet. You can imagine how happy I was.... I LOVE PETS!

So off to New Zealand we go to the pet farm in search of my new pet.

He said I could get ANY pet I wanted. My husband is always sooo loving to me and he is always trying to find ways to make me happy :)

While I was deciding on what new pet I wanted this time, mr. bibo disappear for a while but soon reappeared acting so silly wearing a new pair of black kitty ears (180 AG). He has the greatest sence of humor :D

After being looking around for a while for the perfect new pet and mr. bibo's little joke, I made up my mind... I WANTED A CAT!

This is the special moment when OREO and I met for the first time. It was those beautiful expressive eyes that melt and tickled my heart and I knew that was the perfect pet for me... I don't know why, but cats seem to have that effect on me...LOL.

When I got Oreo home, she seemed scared at first. And to top it off Mr. Tickles and Picolly hid from her. I don't know if they were shy or just plain jelouse. It took them a while to welcomed OREO into their home.

Notice OREO's beautiful eyes, aren't they just so gorgeous!

It took me a while to make OREO feel comfortable in her new home. I had to keep reassuring her that we loved her and were happy to have her home with us as part of sweet_mom's family.

Finally feeling more relaxed she fell asleep on my leg. I LOVE MY NEW CAT!!!
