The White Rose

At first, ѕιℓνι caught my attention because she looked so pretty in pink.

But after I clicked on her profile, I realized that it was mainly her personality 

that had attracted my attention to her. It seems that many times I am able to sense 

the goodness that people carry in their hearts even before 

I get to know more about them. This I see as a gift, like a kindness detector.

Miracles do exist!

  They happen every day to all of us. 

But unfortunately, they go unnoticed due to the busy and fast lives we live in.

We should all take a moment during our day to count our blessings 

and be thankful for what we have.

A little story I wrote...

The White Rose

A tiny seed falls from the sky, gliding smoothly through the clouds. 

Finally, she lands on the peak of the highest mountain. 

The landing was rough since the whole land was covered with ice. 

She stays there, motionless for a moment. 

The sun, seeing this, sends bright and warm rays over her. 

Suddenly, the seed blooms into a beautiful white rose, and looking at the land she smiles. 

The sun keeps her warm during the day by hugging her with his rays.

At the end of the day, it is time for the sun to go. 

He promises her that he will return every day to keep her warm and says goodbye. 

Night falls, bringing a snowstorm. It has no mercy on the beautiful rose. 

All night she shivers and she can barely breathe with the harsh temperatures. 

Finally, the day arrives again. The sun searches for the rose and finds her buried under the snow. 

He sends again rays of light and warmth to her. 

The snow that covers the rose starts to melt. 

But the rose is already dying. She looks up at the sun and thanks him for his kindness. 

The sun starts to cry, feeling hopeless.

The rose looks up to him with a smile and says... 

"Don't cry my good friend, I had a good life. 

I was given a home to live in that looks as white as the sky. 

I got to feel the breeze play with my petals and I was given a wonderful friend. 

I felt your love for me in the warmth of your rays. You lit my world, my dear friend. "

Then she closed her eyes... and she was gone.

In my story, you will find miracles, blessings, gratitude, friendship, and love.

My little white rose never complained but was always thankful for what she had.

Dear sweets, 

I need your help, Have you ever felt so alone , When you're actually not? 

Well i feel all the time in real.. And i cant control it. It's so annoying, 

I'm almost feeling depressed much in real, I've been depressed in weeks now, i felt so down. 

It's about getting friends, feel that I'm different, Not good enough for getting friends.. 

I mean, this sound stupid, But I'm like never have anyone to hang whit at my spare time, 

I've asked people the stupid question ever.. 'How to get friends'.. And I've search everywhere, 

But i feel like it never helps. I 'm a guy 14 years old live in Sweden, I'm a rapper, 

I'm rapping at my spare time when i feel like it, specially when i feel down, 

am i always taking time to rap american's songs that was made by American rappers, 

My dream is to be a rapper artist, like eminem. But i know that it's not so interesting for 

know things about me, But the problem is, Every time when i find some person that reminds of myself, 

I feel like i cant talk whit the person cuz I'm scared about that the person doesn't like to talk me 

or something like that you know Sorry for writing huge letters to you, But i can't find any person 

i can actually have a serious talk whit. I'm praying every night to god about that i wanna get mates 

to hang whit at my spare time ,have fun whit, And do crazy things whit, like best friends does

together.. I've prayed about same thing in 14 days now, Do you think they will come true?

 I believe in god and Jesus much, Like a real christen do, By the way, I know that ure not god 

that knows the answers and can tell me, But i holding my fingers crossed every time 

every night, every day.

My dearest friend,

Yes, many times I have felt very alone even when I am surrounded by many people. 

I think the kind of loneliness you are experiencing is the same kind I have. 

It is a loneliness that lives inside of us and it can be very harmful if we don't do anything about it. 

As many of you know, I suffer from depression, and feeling sad and lonely is part of my life. 

However, I do not let this control my life, especially my present and future.

I am sure there is someone out there ready to be your best buddy. 

I advise you to go out there and be yourself, be genuine, and be positive. 

This is what I do,  I dare myself to step out of my comfort zone (shyness) and venture 

where I know there will be a large group of people. I don't actually go looking for friends, 

but I put myself in that position. Keeping open to whoever says hi. 

And believe me, if no one says hi, I'll make the first move. 

Sometimes I do come out with a friend, sometimes I don't. But I don't let this bring me down.

You are very young, your life is just starting. 

Knowing that you feel depression worries me very much. Depression is an ugly monster

 that, if it's not taken care of, can deprive you of good health and happiness. 

Talk to your parents about your feelings. Ask that they help you find a good therapist 

to help you through this problem. There is no shame in seeking help from professionals. 

I don't see depression as a sign of a disturbed or crazy person. Depression is depression 

and it can be treated.  Once you get to talk to someone I bet you will see and feel differently, 

in a good and better way.

I see that you are a person of faith. God is always with us and will never and I really mean it, 

never abandon us. When you are feeling the loneliest, just look into your heart 

and you will see that he is there. Loving you and waiting to listen. 

God always answers our prayers. Sometimes it may take a while but don't lose faith. 

He hasn't forgotten about you. Also, keep in mind that God knows what is best for us. 

He might or may be answering your prayers in the way he thinks is best for you. 

We do not always get exactly what we pray for, not because he doesn't want to answer them, 

but because he loves us so much that he will answer them in the way he knows 

will be more beneficial to us.

Your rapping is a big plus in your life. I see that you enjoy it so much. 

This makes me very happy. You have a plan, a dream. 

I recommend that you give 110% to your dream. When I feel the saddest or loneliness, 

I write. These things help us. They are gifts from God. You'll see that with faith soon, 

you will find special friends. And if not soon, it's OK, you still have a long life ahead of you

 and many wonderful things are in store for you. Graduating from school, college, 

becoming a professional rapper, finding the girl of your dreams, marrying her...etc. 

And all these will be happening while you'll be meeting new people which for sure 

some will become good friends.

Continue enjoying your rapping, talk to your parents if your depression continues, 

attend social gatherings, be genuine, respectful, and positive but most of all, 

never lose faith. Pray and talk to God, he is always there for you.

I believed in fairy tales and happy endings, but then Wooo, 

my little heart was shattered, what am I saying? It was pulverized

And then it got me thinking...

Heck yeah!

I still believe in fairy tales and happy endings.

One prince charming that turned out to be just another toad in the pond 

is not gonna ruin it for me :P

Now that I have finally found the last piece of my little broken heart, 

I am ready to start stitching it back together with threads of love from all my family and friends.

It is possible to keep a smile even when our little hearts are crying.

We shall never lose faith in people but we still need to be careful who we let into our hearts,

especially the people we meet over the Internet.

My dear Picos, I ask that you please be truthful and kind.

Yes, Ameba Pico is a game but keep in mind that behind every Pico is a real person, 

with a real heart and real feelings and a bad action will cause real pain.

Anyways,

every new day is a new opportunity to make it better than the one before. 

We must believe that we are stronger than what life throws at us. 

We were born to be happy and if possible to make those around us happy as well.

The way I see it,

circumstances have slapped me on the face and it may feel like a hopeless time in my life. 

But with a little faith and the will to be happy again...

In a month I will probably be laughing at the whole thing :)

Sweets*: Hmmm, ok where can I find the dancing shoe department?

Sweets*: Not even pointe or balance ballet shoes? :O

Mylene: Nope, but I do have a nice Modern Style Bed in my Antique shop.

It comes in three great colors, white, pink and blue.

I am a little confused, why is Mylene selling antiques in a ballet room?

And why is this place even called Ballerina Park?

And if this is a park, then where are the trees and the benches and the green grass 

and the singing birds and the playful pets running freely and the cute boys?

Don't you think it would be a better idea if she was actually selling fluffy tutus and skirts, 

tights, and ballet slippers? The only thing that I found in her shop that is ballet related 

is one single Ballerina Dance that by the way I still need to get.

Unfortunately,

this dance is only available with Ameba Gold >:(

and I am trying to live my Pico Life from now only on gummies and tokens,

but these Ameba Pico papa heads make it so hard for all of us Not-Ameba-Gold players.

They refuse to give us a break >:(

Listen you papa-heads I'll make a deal with you for the Ballerina Dance that is missing 

from my collection of dances. I'll give you 1000 gummies, one token, and a big shout-out in my blog

if you let me have it.

What do you think my Picos, do you think they'll fall for it?

 I seriously doubt it. These are business people we are dealing with 

that seem not to have any mercy on our poor wallets :(((

Anyways, going back to this park,

Gacha has a complete ballerina outfit and separately you can also win the hairpiece.

That is if you are lucky and get it right away and not after your finger gets purple 

by repeatably clicking that tempting "Play Again" button or your wallet starts screaming 

in agony and pain. Or after you have wasted a fortune that in reality would have bought 

you a REAL ballerina outfit to wear in REAL life :P

A Delayed Reply

Today, as I was checking my mail, I came upon a particular one that really brought tears to my eyes.

It had been waiting to be read for a while hidden under the tons of mail that I still need to read. 

It was a desperate call for help that unfortunately, due to the immense number of mail that I get 

I had only seen it til today. Immediately I tried to find this Pico but unfortunately, he was nowhere 

to be found. My only hope is that he is alright and that he and his family seeks the help 

that was so much needed to heal the parent/child relationship.

Once, someone asked me, "Sweets*, why do you take it on yourself to help these kids that write 

to you for help, shouldn't they been asking their own parents for help instead of you?" 

I was stunned by the question. How can I as a human and as a mother not care to help someone 

that is hurting?  Should I ignore their pain, and their problems just because I am not their parent? 

I can't and I won't!

Some of the people that seek help and advice from me are mostly kids that sadly might not have

the kind of relationship with their parents where they can sit down, be listened to, and be understood,

and where they can find comfort and encouragement.

It is very important as a parent to give great importance to what is bothering our children

so they can feel comfortable enough to come to us and share what is going on in their lives, good 

and bad. No matter how big or small their problems might seem to us parents/grownups, 

if it's affecting, hurting and making our child sad, then it should be important to us. Aren't we 

parents supposed to protect, guide and love our children? Having them is a privilege, a blessing.

 Loving them is caring and listening and not dismissing so easily what they have to say.

I also noticed that many kids try to find comfort in this sort of game. They come here searching 

for what is lacking in their real life and that is so sad. However, not only do kids do that, 

grownups do it as well. Once I met a young photographer in his mid-20s in Second Life. 

And after talking about my photo we started talking for a while and he said to me, "Lori, real life is so painful for me, so hard. I only find peace when I come here. This is my escape. I feel accepted and loved only here. In real life, I am so lonely."

What we need to understand and never forget is, that real life, no matter how hard it might be, 

is the life where we are supposed to be living. We can't and shouldn't try to live a "life" here in Pico 

or any other virtual world. What we should do is work on healing our real life by seeking help 

from professionals or spiritual guidance from our church.

Remember, my beautiful Picos, that once at the end of one of my posts I wrote, "take care of each

other", and I meant it. Treat everyone kindly for you may never know what other people you meet might be going through. Be always willing to listen. For many, it is just what they need. We all need to feel that we matter and that people care. Keep your heart always open to anyone in need.

To the Pico that wrote to me this letter;

I am very sorry I wasn't there when you needed me. My heart goes out to you and I only hope that

you are doing fine. Know that I care and that your feelings matter to me. I know you are a wonderful

kid because despite all the sadness you are going through you still find the strength to help others :)

You are a trooper. I feel that the biggest problem you are encountering is good communication with

your parents. You seek shelter in Pico, avoiding the problem, and as a result of that, they label you with very degrading names that worsen everything. It is like a circle of mistakes that one thing causes another, all reacting to one another in a destructive way. The only way to stop this cycle is by truly

communicating, listening and caring for each other.

If you see this, please get in contact with me. I am truly worried and I would like to hear from you.

Dear Sweets,

I am one of the many fans of your blog. I usually don't turn to others for advice but I really need help

this time. On my own blog, I put posts on how I help others because it makes me happy. I've always

been so busy helping others, I haven't been helping myself.

I have depression issues and have suicidal thoughts and even hurt myself. 

My relationship with my parents and I are strained. Just looking at each other has become awkward.

I've become obsessed with Pico and my parents hate it.

They keep saying Pico changed you so much and has ruined your life. 

I love Pico so much because it makes me happy. They don't understand that. 

It's true that I'd rather be on Pico than be with them but that's only because 

Pico is practically my life.

My own mother called me a useless retard' and that hurt a lot. My parents keep asking me why I'm

such a weirdo and why I can't just be normal. I know normality doesn't exist but when your own

parents say that, it really broke my heart.

Please, I hope you get this message. I ask for your help to hopefully 

pull me out of my depression and make me happy again so my parents will 

stop worrying and yelling at me.

We can either let them have control over us or just use their negativity as fuel 

to motivate us in life. People that hate and want to hurt us are unhappy 

in life and they are not worth our tears.
