OREO in Heaven Now

My dear Picos, as you can imagine, we are devasted by Oreo's death.
Our beloved Oreo, our sweet baby left us too soon.

Oreo had been acting withdrawn the last few days and though he tried to be brave and happy,
we all noticed how he seemed tired. Wednesday night, while feeding him,
he suddenly went into a seizure. The seizure lasted about three terrifying minutes and after...
everything just got worst :(  His fragile little body kept twitching while letting out cries of pain.
Later that night, when I noticed him calmed down, I encouraged him to eat,
and my poor baby finally ate what was going to be his last meal.
After he ate he proceeded to play with two of his smallest toys.
Sadly, this only lasted around two minutes and again
his body went into an uncontrollable twitching state.

At night, I stayed up with my poor Oreo, trying to comfort him while my heart was breaking.
It was a long night of seizures, twitching, and pain for my baby.
He had always been so brave, but this time, painful cries were heard during the whole night.

Finally, morning arrived, and while we wait for the vet's office to open,
Oreo was, in a way, already gone. He no longer recognized us and his body was out of control.
As I drove to the vet, I knew that it was time for him to finally go to rest,
however, I was trying desperately to hold on to some hope.

The vet confirmed my fears.
Oreo had suffered enough, and surrounded by the people that loved him the most,
he slowly and peacefully went to Heaven.

I am so sorry not to include any pictures at this moment.
It is too painful for me to look at his pictures. Oreo was my baby </3

  2. I too, lost a little animal in my familys care only after less then a day of care. :( after a terrible windy thunderstorm in the one afternoon, my dad and aunt went out to check on their gardens and my aunt found a poor little baby bird in her side. We brought the little bird in. We fed it and kept it in a little box that it could walk in and out with, my brother and mom saw that it had scraped a part of its wing, showing its meat, and had a broken leg, it was late so we were thinking to wait til tomorrow to take it to a vet. Tomorrow came and it was Sunday..they were closed. So we took the lil bird back home and fed it and gave it a little water. in the afternoon we wanted to take it out to mess around in the grass, we watched it from a few meters back. We saw the mom sit on the fence and watch its baby. my mom brother and me went inside to give them privacy, but we watched from the window, we saw the baby start walking! We thought it was doin better! But after about 10 steps, it stopped..
The mother flew into the trees, where we thought the nest might be. we went out to check on the baby to give it some more water and food, but..it was dead. Our birdy (What I always wanted to name it lol) had died. We saw that its leg was better. We buried her right in our backyard and we went inside to pray for the defenseless baby. We watched the mom fly around. We didn't know the mom was watching us bury her baby until the mom flew right ontop of the burial spot and spread out her wings. <3 RIP!

  3. I feel very sorry of your loss. Oreo is watching you in the heavens... I hope. But I never ever had a pet because my parents, in the older days, had fish. But the water was too dirty, so they died. They got to heaven, like Oreo, too. (The tank was still in the basement.) When I was born, I never got to see the fish.
