Bubbles!!

Written by: vðÐkåMµ†ïñï ✖

I don't know about you guys, but I adore Pico's new bubble update. The cute and colorful little machine is one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. It's an awesome, and great way to get into fun in the sun! I may not be a fan of summer and heat (I'm from the Northeastern US, now living in the Southeast.) but one thing I love about summer is how everyone comes outside to play. And really, what can be more fun than bubbles?

The soap bubble machine is available for 80 gold in the catalog order. Unfortunately, it seems you can't use a token for it. Come on Pico! :( Let our gold-less friends in on the fun too! I'm short on gold now, and can't get one myself. Oh well.
The gun comes with 30 sets of bubble soap, and it looks like refills are only available to Facebook users. Hopefully this will change, but until then, I hope you all have a great time spreading those fun little soap bubbles around~

Sexism in Pico?

I’ve heard mixed feelings from the recent “Girls only” gacha that opened in France. And I’ve got to say, a lot of the aren’t the greatest. Pico’s pretty obviously favored the women for as long as I’ve been a member. And it’s gotten to the point where even the girls are getting frustrated.
Catero posted earlier about the sheer lack of male wigs that are around. The party wig selection was—put bluntly—pathetic. Boys got one measly hairstyle, one that was already selectable from your settings menu, and put it in a couple funky colors.
Sorry Pico, but I agree with Catero. It just doesn’t cut it. We have a variety of people who come and play, of all varying sexes and genders. And just because females may outweigh males does not mean, by any stretch of the word, that you should entitle the girls to more. It’s simply unfair.

There’s no comparison when you open the shops anywhere around the Pico world. The pink “women’s” symbol above clothes appears so much more frequently than the blue “men’s” symbol. The wig fiasco, in which girls were given access to every single wig, while boys just had a recolored generic ‘do. With this Gacha thrown in the mix, I kind of have to wonder when things will be a bit more equal.
If you ask me though, I think that these gender specific restrictions should be abolished entirely. Clothing never had a gender, and in my opinion it’s only restricting creativity for us to be restricted to clothing, just because it’s not commonly defined to our specific gender.
I mean I’ve seen boy picos who are actually girl picos, just made to look male to get access to the many more clothes that girl picos have.
Shouldn’t we all have the freedom to our fashion? That’s what I always say!

P.S.  Ameba, upping the price of premium gacha to 100g a spin is absolutely not cool. As if 50 wasn’t steep enough already. I am so not happy about this.

Why is everyone so desperate for love through Pico?

I see it all the time. There will be someone around the room, constantly saying that they need a boyfriend or a girlfriend. Matchmaker events are the hot trend in rooms.

Does your Pico need to be dating another Pico for you to be happy? I mean, aren't we all here to just have fun?

Case in point: go to just about any room that's crowded. If it doesn't happen immediately give it a minute or two; there will be someone eventually asking for a significant other.

Hold up a second guys, aren’t we missing a vital step here? That's right! Getting to know each other.

The best relationships - even the ones just as Picos - are best established through common ground. Just walking up to someone and asking "wanna be my gf?" won't exactly make for the best or the most fun, connection. Maybe it's just me but I’ve found those to be quite … awkward.

Pico is not meant to be a place for you to come and find a date. It's a place to have fun. So instead of being so singularly focused on finding that special someone, why not go out there and make friends? You never know, the closer you get to them, you may find something there!

The way I see it done now, just outright asking total strangers is not the best way to go about it. At least to me it isn't. True love and happiness comes from the connection you feel with someone. If you just want your Pico to go out with another it's a lot more fun when you actually know the person you’re doing this with.

Some of us aren't even here for love at all. I’m not, and I've had plenty of Picos ask me if I was single. Maybe its because I’m older, but I've quickly grown out of needing fake familial connections and love interests on games like these.

Which brings me to my next point: A lot of you are still young. At your ages, you don't need a soulmate to be truly happy. Going out there to live life to the fullest, even on a simple game will make life so much more fun in the long run!

Cursed by the restless ghosts of Pico

Written by vðÐkåMµ†ïñï ✖

Hi guys! It's vðÐkåMµ†ïñï ✖again, reporting with less of a scam and more a different kinf of the evil that haunts Pico servers.

Sounds spooky eh?

Well, anyone who has logged into Pico over the last few days have noticed a certain monster lurking. A monster that creeps in and out of your rooms, disrupting communication with your friends, and overall dampening the Pico experience. This foul creature lurks in the depth of Pico's servers, waiting to chomp on unsuspecting users who may simply want to open their buddy list, or change their clothes. A creature that leaves behind a torrent of frustration in its wake as you endlessly refresh, hoping that this may just be the time that you successfully load everything perfectly!

That's right, I'm talking about the dreaded semaphores errors.

No one knows exactly how and why these things pop up, but lately they have been cursing Picos with frustration and annoyance. Semaphores errors have interrupted transactions, making it seem like your money got eaten without giving you the item! It took me 10 minutes just to open my decor menu ;A;.

Maintenance only seems to help temporarily. While it may keep the monster at bay, there's no telling when semaphores will renew its reign of terror over the Pico world.

Lurking and waiting ... a terrifically frightening ordeal.

So, how do we deal with the Pico equivalent to Xbox's red ring epidemic? My only solution so far has been patience. Getting frustrated only makes the situation worse. Take a deep breath, stay calm, and try pulling up another game to keep yourself occupied. It takes some time, but Pico will eventually work. Don't yell at the admins, but rather tell them calmly about the issues you're having. I'm sure that hitting the caps lock button won't drive them to fix the issue any faster.

If you find yourself unable to calm down, it's probably best to wait a few hours before trying to load Pico again. It may not be much, but it's all we can do. Don't fret too much over things! :) We're all in the same boat~

New Facebook Scam Stealing Pico IDs

CyberAgent America Inc., creators of the Ameba Pico game, are stepping up safety and security as a result of continued scam activity in Pico. Previously, ten.ten. provided Pico Perfect (and several other blogs) a personal example of the ways scammers try to gain access to your account.

We recently received the email (below) from vðÐkåMµ†ïñï ✖ about a new way that scammers are trying to trick people into unknowingly handing over their Pico account information through a Facebook scam. This comes shortly after the official Pico blog posted two statements this week about protecting your Pico ID through Facebook and increased security for purchasing AmebaGold.

Hello, I've seen that you guys have posted warnings about pico scammers in the past, and I was sincerely hoping that you would do it again, to help prevent a possibly huge issue. I've already taken the time to contact Pico about this, but if more people know and report, more might become aware of the situation.
I recently logged onto my facebook account, to find that I had a message from "Admln Pico".

The message stated this:
Dear Ameba Pico Online

We have detected suspicious activity in Ameba Pico Online you and will immediately suspend your account as a security precaution. We've issued a warning to you via email, but you do not respond to our notice. Therefore, your account will be immediately terminated, and will not be reinstated for any reason.

*ENTER YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT*
You can get back control of your account by logging into

and follow the instructions on the screen.

Note: If Within 12 hours, you have not verified your account on our links, then you have ignored our notifications. Therefore, your account is permanently suspended, and will from not be reactivated for any reason.

Thank's
Admin Ameba Pico
This is CLEARLY not the official Pico account. And they are very clearly trying to scam people out of their accounts. I doubt I'm the only one who's recieved this message. I want to send this out as a warning to all Pico users, DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK AND ADD YOUR LOGIN INFO. It is not legit, and you will possibly lose your account to this scam. No one's Pico accounts have been frozen. Please report this user to both Pico and Facebook if you get a message from them.

Thanks in advance,
vðÐkåMµ†ïñï ✖
