When it all comes to an end

Written By: Vegemite

I have said that I was quitting pico several times before, but I never did actually quit.
I haven't been on Pico for a while, as my buddies might know. Life has been extremely important since the last few days, and this has affected me.
I am quitting Pico, and this time, it needs to be done. I might visit at the minimum level of once a month, but that might not even happen.

Pico has been a huge and long journey for me. Now I have to say good-bye. Don't say it's not hard, because it is very hard. I met such amazing Picos on Pico, and now, it's all over. I'll miss you all  SUPER much.  You will all remain kept safe in my heart, close to me. Whenever I'm upset, or I'm missing someone, I'll think about you. <3
Now here are some pictures for all of you to see
That are special to me
They may be new
But they just for you!

Those are all special Pico friends of mine, that I'll miss dearly. I'll also miss all my fans, friends and Pico dearly, as well. Now it's time to say good-bye, and now I can say, WHAT A JOURNEY :)

When you log on to see this...

Written by: Vegemite

Today I logged onto pico. As I was checking my letters I saw something quite misleading.

I saw this letter. From a normal Ameba Pico user who is obviously pretending to be Ameba Pico support, trying to report my pico. Now, I'm going to be as honest as ever. I did not hack anybody at all. Take a look at this letter.

I have also read other blogs regarding this issue with picos saying they also got the same letter, from the same pico. And the pico also said they did not hack anybody.
So who is this Pico exactly?

Nobody knows.

Have any thoughts? Comment! We would love to hear your thoughts about this letter!

Thanks,
Vegemite

Life or pico: the true meaning

Written by: Vegemite

Every pico has a choice; the choice of being on pico all day...
...Or living life at it's full. I would prefer living life at it's full, but pico can be addictive.

As living life at it's full is the healthier option, it also is important. You have been given a life for a reason and that is, to live it.
  • When your on pico all day, your not.
  • When your buying gold, your not.
So what's my point? Pico is addictive. Pico is designed to try force you into buying gold or be addicted to the game.
My point of view on gold: Buying gold is like throwing your money away. Although I have bought gold myself in the past, I am never buying it again. If you are a frequent gold buyer, please do me a favour: that is to try and stop buying gold. I'm not asking you to do this because I'm mean or nasty, I'm asking you to do this for your own health and safety. I know, it's hard. But it really helps. I've stopped buying gold and I feel much better. Because money is not something to waste, it is an important thing used in life.
I know, you want to look: cool, rich and famous, etc. But we are talking about a virtual game here! Who cares if you don't look cool, rich or famous on a virtual game?! I have bought gold many times in the past, as you can see in that picture. But it's a game. I didn't realize what I was doing until now. Maybe it's your turn to realize what your doing. Yes, I look happy in the picture, but am I really happy? No, I'm not.
I am upset at myself because I got gold in the past. I'm being honest here, I'm still tempted into buying gold. But I choose not to buy gold. You know why? Because I know it's not the end of the world if I don't buy gold.
If you haven't bought gold before, well done! Keep on that track, and don't ever buy gold. Because it makes a huge difference. A good one.

So that's why I choose life over pico. Now I don't go on pico as often as before, which I'm quite happy about, (as I am in the middle of exams).

I hope you learnt something. I hope it made a difference. If it didn't, I don't mind. Just try and take my advice. Please; for your health and safety.

How-to: Vege's Perfect Guide to Blackjack

Written by: Vegemite

Amazing news just hit Pico. Blackjack is back!

To celebrate, I want to tell you the perfect guide to blackjack.

When I saw that blackjack was back, I went straight to the casino to start playing! When I started I had around C$2,000. Then suddenly, my amount raised to around C$26,000 within about 5-10 minutes. I just had to get to C$30,000 to get the Bourgeois Peacock Design Dress. So I bet C$5,000. I lost. I kept betting the same amount, but luck was not on my side (how awful!). It was one loss after another. In the end, my casino dollars balance was C$100. Disappointed, I learned my lesson. When I get to the right amount, I will stop playing till the next time I play blackjack.

By now, many of us know the different levels of casino play rooms:
  • Beginner
  • Normal
  • High Roller
With blackjack, Beginner, Normal and High Roller rooms all have different
  1. values for chips
  2. amount limits for bets
But here's the catch: Watch out for the dealer!

Here's a common scenario:
The Dealer begins to stand at the number 17, but still hits on 16 in all of the levels of Blackjack. The odds of a 10, Jack, Queen or King coming up are very, very high! This is because there are 4 of each card, and there all of these cards are used as a 10. Now heres the good news: If the dealer gets a 12, they will hit. And you know what? Most likely, it's a 10, Jack, Queen or king and guess what? BUST! And you win.

That could happen with any number from 12 - 16. Well, most likely - yes. Thats why I always start standing on 12 or 13. Just to stay safe.

Sometimes gambling can get addictive. So make sure you don't hit the casino too often. It has quite a lot of effect. Sometimes, you win. And most times, you don't. So when you bet, be careful, because if you bet a huge amount, think about it. What happens if you lose it? You will have nothing. So don't keep your hopes up.

Do you know that at Pico Casino the odds are stacked against you? Pico Casino is designed for you to lose like any other casino. It may not seem like it, but this goes for all casinos. In real life slots and Pico slots, the jackpot may be won by 1 person out of a million people.

The dealers aim in blackjack is to win. But Ameba Pico's blackjack is designed for the dealer to win. Often, the dealer gets 20 or 21 way more than the players. If the player gets 19, most likely, the dealer has 20. Very interesting, huh?

If not, you might get a draw. Which I happen to get very often.
At most times when you get a draw, it's a high number.

Another something you must know, you may think blackjack is very common, but really, it's not that common. An ace is quite rare to get, if you have noticed.

Losing isn't that bad, it happens to many, many, many people.
Winning dosn't happen that much, to be honest. I bet the percentage of the times you have played blackjack, more than half you have lost.

When Ameba Pico deals the cards, they are cheating. Don't report them, because they are doing the right thing. Casino's cheat. So don't expect to win much from it, because you know it's not going to happen.

Casino cards alter when a pico earns a certain amount of casino dollars.

Red casino cards are given to the pico when starting casino. Changes may happen to the card as the casino dollar amount rises.

Example: ☆Rö¢k§†år☆
Silver cards are given to the player when the player gets at least 10,000 casino dollars in one month. Changes may happen again.

Example: Vegemite
Gold casino cards are given to players when they reach at least 100,000 in one month! One more card is higher than this card.

Example: (Sky)
Black casino cards are given to the player when the player reaches at least 500,000 casino dollars in one month!! Nothing beats this card!

Example: (Suby)

I earned my casino dollars from blackjack. It was hard, but as soon as I got it, I kept playing and lost it all. So it dosn't really matter. Just have fun. It dosn't matter what type of casino card you have, or how much casino dollars you have got. Just keep playing pico happily.

Thanks so much for reading my post, I hope you liked it!

Let's all hope for the best

Written by: Vegemite

Today I have made my post a little different. It is dedicated to Sky - who is still pending results from a cancer test. Lets hope it's not cancer and pray for the best.

Cancer has affected many people around the world. The odds are 1 out of 3 people, still always increasing. There are also many types of cancer: brain, lungs (which mostly occurs from smoking), toungue, liver, breast and many more, some still unknown.

Many famous people have battled cancer, such as Elizabeth Taylor, Bob Marley, Olivia Newton-John, Kylie Minogue, and Steve Jobs. There are many more, but these are the most famous icons that I know of who have had cancer.

Meanwhile, I asked Sky if I could take pictures of her because of her strong hope for the tests. Beautiful pictures, huh?

Her strong hope inspired me a lot.

Does it inspire you too?

To help keep her - and everybody's - hope strong, I am running a "Cancer Fight Back Fashion Show". Let's hope that inspires everybody to be happy with what they have, because a cancer patient only has one wish: to get better. We have a thousand wishes. So let's all cheer and be happy and start to get some hope!

I have also written a poem dedicated to Sky:

Hope for the best
With a massive cheer
For results from the test
While we're here

We are strong
We will fight
Even when it's long
With all our might

We won't loose hope
We love you dear
We'll all cope
With a tear

Just stay how you are
From south to west
Even really far
Hope for the best

Poem written by Vegemite. ~

Thanks for reading my poem, and if you did, you are helping Sky to not loose hope. <3

And thanks for reading my post, too. I hope you enjoyed it.

The effects of bullying

Written by: Vegemite

Bullying has affected many people around the world from any age. Common types of bullying include physical abuse, verbal abuse (swearing and name calling, cyber bullying, and spreading vicious lies and rumors. This can end up with extremely strong effects, especially in schools.

Lately there have been quite a few incidents that have been discussed locally, nationally, even worldwide. I have been researching these incidents to find some good news and some bad … or worse.

This week, Australia has received delightful news regarding bullying. A boy who is aged 16 has been bullied for an awful long time due to his obesity. Recently, he was at school when another boy started to punch him and say hurtful things to him. But this time was different. He actually fought back, not allowing his schoolmate to bully him again.

This situation has hit international news, with bullied victims cheering and standing up to be proud of who they are.

This morning I heard on the news that the bully said that the victim had bullied him. This was very surprising because the bully had also said that he was a victim of bullying in primary school. This shows that bullies have often been bullied themselves in childhood.

I have also heard that there has been high level cyber bullying all around.

People may wonder, “Why is cyber bullying that bad?”

Here's why: if you cyber bully someone over the internet or any other chat messaging, they have evidence of what you did. And here’s another thing – if you’re in school, and if the victim’s parents see the hurtful messages, the principal could get involved. Sometimes if the bully threatens to kill you on the internet or anything as horrible as that, even police can get involved.

Have you been cyber bullied? I have.

If you have been a victim of cyber bullying and you are in school, tell your parents straight away.

If you are a bully, think about it. Imagine yourself in the victim’s shoes – you wouldn’t like being picked on, so why pick on people?

If you’re getting bullied, it’s okay to be upset, but if it’s way over the top, see somebody about it. Talking to a professional helps. A LOT.

Bullying can get serious. So if you want to say something nasty to somebody just don’t. Keep in mind:
  • You know you are going to get caught eventually
  • Imagine yourself as the victim
  • It can get serious
If you are the victim this is what you want to think about:
  • It’s okay to be upset
  • Others feel your pain
  • Don’t focus on the bully – stay away from the bully as much as you can
  • Tell an adult you trust about what is happening
I, Vegemite, have suffered from bullying, too. My experience with bullying occurred at a young age which started around 8 years old. I found that there were many types of bullying. My experience was mostly with rude names and words.

Another way to help, I would say that talking to people who have experienced similar experiences with bullying as you.

Thanks, stay safe <3

Japan crisis hits hard with Pico players

Donation Park balloon

Written by: Vegemite

Hey, It's Vegemite again!

I would like to discuss the feelings of the past few days, which have been depressing for lots of Picos. A major earthquake and tsumnami has hit Japan, leaving people injured, and even more missing ... or even worse.

I have asked my friends to share their feelings about this awful disaster; one that has been a bombshell for all of us.
Richie Dagger
Japan is in crisis. The country is devestated by all of the bad things that are happening. They are still facing many problems after the tsunami - like coping with losses of family and property. Right now, they are having problems with nuclear plants.

☆chihiro☆
On March 11 around 2:46PM an 8.9 earthquake struck Japan. Then a 23-foot wall of water. Three of Japan's nuclear reactors are possibly going into meltdown; there has already been 3  reactor explosions. All people in a 30 kilometer area must stay indoors with their doors and windows locked or hey may suffer radiation related illnesses.

The whole situation makes me deeply depressed since I have many friends in Japan, but luckily they are all safe and alive.

Support Japan. Wear red-and-white and donate.

Bedazzle
What happened in Japan is a nightmare. It's very, very sad my heart goes out to all who have lost. Love.

☜✙☞™Jαkєє™☜✙☞
I feel sad for Japan in this terrible disaster. The earthquake and tsumami are horrific. I want to help by donating a lot of money. So, help Japan out, maybe because it's a good thing maybe because it's part of Pico.

So if you feel sad about this, don't worry, others are too.
A special thanks to Richie Dagger, ☆chihiro☆, ♥ Bedazzle ♥ and ☜✙☞™Jαkєє™☜✙☞ for their thoughts on the difficult situation.

Would you like to express what's running through your mind as well? Please share your comments. Please be respectful. Inappropriate comments will be removed.

Types Of Picos

Written by: Vegemite

Hey all, Vegemite here!

Have you met a few Picos who you might find ... rather odd? Well, if so, I have too and I would like to show you different types of Picos that you might trust or that you might not trust at all.

The Friendly Pico

Friendly Picos are known to be very nice and offer you food, to play a game, etc.

Be nice back, that would help A LOT and it would allow you to make friends.

The Mean Pico

Now, mean Picos can be really rude sometimes. And if they offend you, it does hurt. Try not to let them get to you.

If they are rude, you know it's not true. You are who you are, not who somebody says you are.

The Hacker Pico

Now, we get to the worst: the hacker. If somebody says to you, "Do you want me to get you Gold?" or anything like that, say NO.

Do not give ANYBODY your details, not even your best Pico friend. Be very careful with who you trust.

I hope you have learnt who to trust and who not to trust, because these things are important. Dont believe in fake Picos, because there are fake Captain Thomas, Chloes and Happy Olivers all over Pico ... and maybe someone could pretend to be YOU.

Stay safe Picos!

Kind Regards,
Vegemite
